Lateks Nedir? Latex Nedir?

What is latex?

It’s a substance that looks like milk from many plants, such as latex, daisies, and bras. It glits through a cut part of the plant and solidifies when it encounters air. The latex removed from the rubber tree is the main source of natural rubber. In short, raw rubber is called latex.

Latex is a complex combination of fluid and includes protein, starch, alkaloid, sugar, oil, there are lots of ingredients, like gum, tan, resin. Many plants have latex white color, but some plants may also have yellow, orange, or red.

The word Latex is also used to name the plant extract structure in its machined, thin and flexible materials (Latex fabric as an example). Latex is also polymerized and synthetic to its monomers by emulsion of surfactants.

It is one of the adhesive materials used in the Latex packaging industry. It can hold onto the surface of the paper that they are coated in liquid form and does not stick when it touches the paper that is paper when it dries. It only sticks together when it touches another surface that is coated in latex. Due to this feature, the packaging of large or long objects with difficult boxes is kept open with latex-driven edges.

On latex-treated surfaces, the application when it wants quick drying is an air stream supported by fans, at a temperature of 20°C to 35°C. In extreme heat, the latex becomes soft, not dry. It becomes difficult to penetrate paper in cold conditions. If it can be done, a sulfur environment dries the latex better.
